I am a photographer who enjoys exploring the natural world and occasional curb-side.

I am drawn to the abstraction of black and white, to its simplicity and its weight when communicating emotion in visual story telling. Since my teenage years I enjoyed documentary photography and have experimented with black and white landscape and street photography over the last five years.

I find photography an excellent excuse to explore the world (for the most part, the camera is in the bag). It takes me to places I may otherwise not have visited. During the planning, meandering or composing of an image I am often anchored in that moment. Be it scrambling over coastal rocks or navigating a moss covered forest, capturing a scene or moment that communicates the sense of wonder that nature offers, can be a uniquely fulfilling experience.

Asides from photography, I work in the environment space, contributing to the protection of the lands and waterways that I value wandering with a curious eye and a camera in hand.
